FINDING US BY ROAD

When approaching Whitby from the north on the A171, continue over the high level bridge spanning the river Esk, turn immediately left, Whitehall landing is signposted 100 yards on the second left overlooking the marina.

SURROUNDING AREA

Abbey View is only few seconds’ drive from the A171, which passes close by on the high level bridge spanning the River Esk, to the south with Scarborough 20 miles away and Middlesbrough 30 miles to the North. There are regular commuters to both these areas, as well as York via Pickering and Malton on the A169. There are train services between Whitby and Teesside and of course the famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which links Grosmont and Goathland (Heartbeat’s Aidensfield) onto Pickering. There are regular bus services to all main villages, such as Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay. You can always take the opportunity to take a trip around Sandsend on the old Whitby Lifeboat or just enjoy exploring the North Yorkshire Moors and Heritage Coast.
